Goat Meat in Balungao

In: Food

31 May 2009

There is an increasing demand for goat meat and goat milk and farmers in Balungao are earning more. They are using the technologies acquired during a 6 month training in Farmer Livestock School on Integrated Goat Management by PCARRD-DOST, ILRI, and IFAD. 11 farmers went through the said program.

The training on effective goat management where Dr. Emilio M. Cruz was invited also benefited other goat raisers in Balungao Pangasinan by adapting the recommended technologies. Dr. Cruz is director of Central Luzon State University’s small ruminant center in Muntilde, Nueva Ecija.
